Signing with ASA! The Rehabilitation Market Embraces a New "Sino-Italian Intelligent Manufacturing" Paradigm
Time:2025-05-07

On May 7, Sinopharm Cohealta (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Sinopharm Cohealta ), a subsidiary of Sinopharm Foreign Trade, and ASA Company, a subsidiary of Italy's EIEN Group, signed a cooperation agreement in Beijing. Deputy General Manager of Sinopharm International Zhang Haoji, and Chief Executive Officer of ASA Damiano Guidolin, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties, jointly creating a new "Sino-Italian Intelligent Manufacturing" paradigm for the rehabilitation market.

This cooperation breaks through the traditional agency model for imported equipment. Driven by the dual engines of "technology transfer + domestic intelligent manufacturing", it will promote the precise application of ASA's high-energy laser equipment in three major fields in China: orthopedic rehabilitation, trauma repair, and medical cosmetology. In response to the medical needs of the Chinese market, the two parties will conduct localized R&D and customized development of high-energy laser products to meet the clinical rigid demands in segmented scenarios and provide Chinese patients with higher-quality and more efficient rehabilitation treatment solutions.

As an integrated service provider focusing on the rehabilitation industry, Sinopharm Cohealta will give full play to the leading role of central enterprises in the independent development of high-end rehabilitation equipment. Relying on the whole-industry-chain resources and adopting the "production certification + independent marketing" model, it will build a complete closed loop covering technology introduction, registration and declaration, large-scale production, and clinical promotion. On the basis of deeply cultivating the field of orthopedic rehabilitation, it will provide coordinated technical reserves for the sub-specialties of neurological rehabilitation and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation to realize the coordinated development of the three major rehabilitation sub-specialties. At the same time, it will establish international mutual recognition standards for high-quality domestic rehabilitation products to "go global" and accelerate the global promotion of Chinese rehabilitation solutions.

Assistant General Manager of Sinopharm Foreign Trade Li Haibo, General Manager of Sinopharm Cohealta Jiang Baichuan, Assistant General Manager of Sinopharm Cohealta Zhang Zhibao, Manager of the Rehabilitation Medical Department Feng Rui, ASA Representative in China Dai Rujun and Legal Counsel Maarten Roos attended the signing ceremony.

Founded in 1983, ASA focuses on the innovative R&D and clinical application of laser and magnetic therapy technologies and has deep expertise in the fields of rehabilitation medicine and pain management. Relying on the innovative research achievements of the School of Medical Engineering of the University of Florence in Italy, ASA has built a complete solution covering physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, and chronic pain management, providing rehabilitation treatment services for more than 16 million patients in medical institutions around the world every year. Its equipment has become the designated rehabilitation equipment for top sports events such as the Olympic Games, Formula 1 World Championship, and NBA due to its outstanding efficacy.
